Dragon incense

This incense has been dedicated to the dragon – both, the mythical creature and the archetypal energy. The dragon signifies the creative and regenerative powers of the earth, a power that resides within all of us – though often it is latent. In many mythologies the symbol of the dragon merges with that of the serpent or ‘winged serpent’. The sages of india teach a technique of raising this dormant creative energy, which they call kundalini.

This incense may be burnt as an offering in tantric rituals or kundalini meditations and can be used to raise the dragon power within.

Mars is known as the red planet. In ancient times mars was worshiped as the fiery god of war and bloodshed as well as a god of fertility and agriculture. As such, mars was associated with new beginnings and initiative, especially with regard to the cycle of the seasons. The festival of spring-equinox, which used to be the beginning of the new year, is dedicated to him.

Astrologically, mars represents will-power, drive and initiative. It is the survival instinct, the power that moves an individual to take on a challenge, to be competitive and ambitious. He is a ‘go-getter’ and can be aggressive or bullying in his less ‘nice’ manifestation. Mars also signifies anger – our response to being roused, challenged or crossed.

Use

Massage with fragrant oils is one of the oldest forms of therapy and constitutes one of the main aspects of aromatherapy. Oils can be blended for specific remedial purposes, to keep the muscles supple and the skin soft or to relax the mind and soothe frazzled emotions or combined for pure sensual pleasure. Touch is the language of the body-mind and the simplest, most direct form of communication available to all. Between lovers, massage is the most beautiful form of exchange, of giving and receiving without demand and harmonizing male and female energies. The divine fragrances of essential oils are a treat for body, mind and soul.

For best results prepare a space by creating a relaxed atmosphere. Make sure the room is warm and comfortable. Have ample sheets and towels available so the person receiving the massage does not get cold and tense during the session. Before you start spending some moments attuning to each other. When you are ready, rub some oil into your palms to harmonize with its energy and adjust it to body temperature. Use more oil as it is gradually absorbed by the skin. Stay calm and centered whilst letting your sensitivity and intuition guide your touch. Never break the body contact and let your movements flow smoothly and with even pressure. Visualize stroking away and soothing tension locked in the muscles and joints. When you have finished spend some more time in attunement before breaking the body contact. Remove excess oil with a towel. Wash your hands with cold flowing water to clear any energies you may have picked up and to help ground yourself after completion.

Dragon Sparks Tea

A kicking cuppa of spicy herbs designed to stimulate mind and body. This blend may provide a boost of extra power when your energy is flagging. Some like it as a jump-start in the mornings.

Ingredients:

Damiana, lemon balm, hibiscus, rosemary, sassafras, sarsaparilla, galangal, cinnamon, kola nuts, ginger, cayenne, violet leaves, woodruff, spearmint.

Herbal teas are carefully composed blends of various herbs, flowers, seeds and barks, designed for use as teas. We leave most ingredients whole to better preserve their quality and freshness. Crush or grind the herbs prior to use. Smaller particles infuse more easily. Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Heavier or finer ground parts often sink to the bottom of the packet – mix these well with the lighter parts to ensure a more balanced taste and effect. For a standard infusion use 1 teaspoon of dried, ground herbs per cup of boiling water. Cover and steep for approximately 5 minutes. Strain, sweeten with honey if required and enjoy.
